The quality of IME's products and services
is the key element to this company's success.
While not certified as an ISO quality
program (pending) at this time, many features have been adopted by IME.
Quality is a proactive program at IME. Quality control for all products
is organized in the following steps:
-
Quality inspection starts as products
are received by IME. Raw materials are inspected for compliance
to internally defined specifications. Only qualified materials are
passed along for processing and assembly.
-
During manufacturing, all assembly
technicians are taught to be quality inspectors for the previous
work function. Every task is subdivided for multi-person handling
and checking. The philosophy is simple, build quality control into
the manufacturing procedure.
-
After processing, comprehensive
quality inspections are performed on finished goods. By batch/lot
#, records and samples are retained to be used for customer inquiry
and IME internal performance review to assist product enhancement.
In particular,
IME.Test products have quality characteristics which contribute
to their greatly enhanced reagent shelf life and high degree of repeatability.
The features, which are unique to the industry, are:
ULTRA
REAGENT PROCESS - Each powdered reagent is processed to tight
specification for dryness, grain size and homogeneity. Inspections
are performed at all phases of the process. Once the reagent is satisfactorily
completed, it is stored in a high vacuum environment while awaiting
packaging.
AMPOULE
PACKAGING - Each ampoule is reagent filled by a unique
and patented automated process. Included in the process is
a 100% instrument check for the necessary preserving vacuum environment
of the ampoule. Reagent exposure in controlled factory environments
is seconds or less.
IME's commitment to the quality of its
products and services has been the cornerstone of its successful growth.
Constant review and improvement are the foundation of this commitment.
The corporate goal, IME.Perfect, is the result of our Philosophy and
Mission Statement.
