ME.TEST™ - Kool Kount Assayer - P (KKA-P) Test is
a special purpose test. The KKA-P test works in the same
manner as the regular Kool Kount Assayer Test (KKA) and has
all the operating attributes of the regular KKA test. The
reverse side of this data sheet contains a summary of product
specifications and test operational steps. The end of test
color is an opaque to pink or red color change as opposed
to the standard yellow to red of the regular KKA product.
The difference is that KKA-P test ampoules have DE Neutralizing
media add to the normal dose TTC/TSB biochemistry per ampoule.
DE Neutralizing media is especially suited for environmental
sampling where neutralization of a chemical is important
to determine its bactericidal activity. A strongly bacteriostatic
substance may contain bacteria held in bacteriostasis but
which may still be able to cause problems. The media will
neutralize a broad spectrum of antiseptic and disinfectant
chemicals including quaternary ammonium compounds, phenolics,
iodine and chlorine preparations, mercurials, formaldehyde
and gluteraldehyde. For such testing environments and types
of analysis, the KKA-P test ampoule can provide superior
test results. Species dominant waters require a one-time,
simple to perform calibration adjustment. Each KKA-P comes
complete with a sample/ampoule, snapping cup, sample ID labels,
and results/instruction chart. KKA-P test ampoules can be
purchased in boxes of 30 or as single test (Micro Inspector).
Test incubation is normally at 95 F but room temperature
incubations are possible. Incubation
can be performed manually by purchasing a reusable carry
incubation tube or using a standard laboratory heat block
or oven. Automatic incubation and end of test detection can
accomplished by purchasing our low cost Incubator/AutoAnalyzer
(model 2012). Special test calibrations/formulations and
private labeling are available upon request.
