IME.TEST™ - Kool Kount Assayer - 0.5 (KKA- 0.5) Test
is uniquely designed to optimize microbial recovery for suspected
low level microbial concentrations. If the water sample to
be tested is between 10(1)-10(3) cfu/ml*, KKA-0.5 is the
correct product to be used. KKA-0.5 has all the attributes
of the normal KKA product except that the end of test color
change is a light orange. The calibration curve of KKA-0.5
is different and faster than the regular KKA test ampoules
for lower level measurements. KKA-0.5 should not be used
for testing applications over 10(3). Additionally, this product
is not designed for sample waters with significant turbidity
or tinting. The calibration curve assumes a natural waters
microbial population, so species dominant waters require
a one-time, simple to perform calibration adjustment. Each
KKA-0.5 comes complete with a sample/ampoule snapping cup,
dechlorinating solution, sample ID labels, and results/ instruction
chart. KKA-0.5 test ampoules can be purchased in boxes of
30 or as a single test (Micro Inspector). Test incubation
is normally at 95° F but room temperature incubations are
possible. Incubation can be performed manually by purchasing
a reusable carry incubation tube or using a standard laboratory
heat block or oven. Automatic incubation and end of test
detection can accomplished by purchasing our low cost Incubator/AutoAnalyzer
(model 2012). Special test calibrations/formulations and
private labeling are available upon request.
