The IME.TEST™ - EC Assayer is a direct reading (cfu), Total E. coli or Fecal E. coli Microbe field test product. The easy to use tester can assay both microbial activity and/or microbial presence concentration levels in aqueous samples. Simple to use accessory sterile sample kits allow this product to be used for non-aqueous samples such as soils, foods, objects and surfaces. The test may be run manually by observing a color change (yellow to blue) or with a low cost automatic analyzer (Incubator/AutoAnalyzer-). When used with , the test results are of near plate accuracy. Measurable test concentration levels without dilution are 101 to 108 cfu. High microbial concentration results are available in as little as 1 hour. Every test retains a test sample which can be further analyzed if necessary. The patented ampoule tester maximizes test operator safety by limiting exposure to test chemicals and test samples. Each box of 30 test ampoules comes complete with sample labels, sample cup, results chart, and safety boots.

TEST KIT CONTENTS: A kit contains 30 test ampoules, 1 sample cup and 1 color standard chart. Negative control ampoules, long wave UV Lamp, sample swabs and buffered sample solution must be ordered separately. When the 30 tests have been used, no replacement components are required, just order a new kit.
TEST KIT OPERATION STEPS:
Using the water to be tested, rinse the Sample/Snapping Cup 3 times and then fill with aqueous sample. Place an IME.Test™ Ampoule tip down into one of the holes in the bottom of the filled Sample/Snapping Cup and pull back on the top to break the ampoule tip (see Step 1 on the other side of this sheet). The IME.Test™ Ampoule will automatically fill with the aqueous sample. Gently rock the filled IME.Test™ Ampoule back and forth for 30 seconds (longer if the sample is cold water) to mix the test reagent. After mixing, place IME.Test™ Ampoule in a 95 (F) degree environment (use carry tube in shirt pocket). Periodically, compare the ampoule color under any long wave UV light to the color card or negative control ampoule to determine end of test and test results. Or, select a control limit and look once at the IME.Test™ Ampoule.

USING as SAMPLER: If the IME.Test™ Ampoule is kept at a cool temperature, Biological growth will be delayed until the sample is brought to a proper incubation temperature. This feature can be used to take a sample at site and forward a proper sample to a lab. Or, if an abnormal field result is observed, the IME.Test™ Ampoule contents can be used for additional analysis (Biological or Chemical).
