Box of 30 Test Ampoules
Product Code #: IMD95077

The IME.TEST™- Total Microbe Test is a simple to use and economical total viable microbe test. This product provides test results rapidly (hours) so effective microbial control measures can be taken before a microbial problem occurs. Each test is totally self contained in a hermetically sealed, vacuum ampoule. The test operator is completely isolated from the test chemicals and test microbes. The test results are determined by a color change from yellow to orange or red. The test protocol for dental office testing (200 cfu ADA threshold) is a procedural adaptation from the industry proven, ASTM approved for Cooling Towers and expert endorsed by leading environmentalists, IME.TEST™- KOOL KOUNT Assayer. The test can be run manually with 10 minutes or less of operator time or with a fully automated analyzer capable of running 6 different tests simultaneously. Each test ampoule retains a 7.5 ml test sample which can be stored for several months to provide a verifiable testing audit trail. Test ampoules have a 4 year plus shelf life. See the reverse side for an operational overview. Each kit comes complete ready to run tests.

TEST KIT CONTENTS: A kit contains 8 or 30 test ampoules, 8 OR 30 safety boots, 1 sample cup, dechlorinating solution, and instructions. When the 8 or 30 tests have been used, no replacement components are required, just order a new kit.
TEST KIT OPERATION STEPS:
4:00 pm [END OF THE DAY]
  1. RINSE the SNAPPING CUP 3 times with sample water. Recommended
sampling point is the Air/Water Syringe.

  2. FILL the SNAPPING CUP with the sample water to the first line.

  3. FILL the SNAPPING CUP with bacteria free water (deionized water) to bring the water level to the top line.

  4. Add 2-3 drops of DECHLORINATING solution.

  5. LET STAND for 30 minutes.

  6. Fill the AMPOULE by snapping the pointed tip down under water. Use one of the holes in the SNAPPING CUP to hold the tip during pulling and rotating on opposite end. Keep ampoule under water until full. Place safety boot on ampoule tip with a twisting motion.

  7. GENTLY MIX the ampoule contents until the powder dissolves.

  8. RECORD the start time [e.g 4:30 pm] and label the ampoule with the
necessary sample ID information [e.g Date & location].

  9. PLACE THE AMPOULE in the incubation tube and leave in a 72ºF (+/- 2ºF) environment

8:30 am NEXT DAY [or 16 hours later]

  1. Examine the Test Ampoule at the flat end for Color [SEE COLOR/VALUE selections to right]. Pick the value which matches the test ampoule color.

  2. Record test results. Take corrective action when
    required.

  3. Save (optional) Ampoule by refrigeration for test
    record or lab confirmation.

OR
UPGRADE TO
Incubator/AutoAnalyser-2000 to automatically
incubate, view end of test and obtain faster results.

USING as SAMPLER: If the IME.Test™ Ampoule is kept at a cool temperature, Biological growth will be delayed until the sample is brought to a proper incubation temperature. This feature can be used to take a sample at site and forward a proper sample to a lab. Or, if an abnormal field result is observed, the IME.Test™ Ampoule contents can be used for additional analysis (Biological or Chemical).
