IME.Test
products are those testers which contain and use IMEs patented
powder reagent glass ampoules. Each reagent ampoule is a complete test
and is referred to as IME.Test.
The IME.Test reagent ampoule
stores the pre-mixed and pre-dosed test chemicals in a hermetically
sealed, virtually indefinite shelf life environment. By breaking the
IME.Tester tip under water,
the ampoule automatically fills with sample water and mixes with the
chemical reagents for the test. The only operator step is to assist
mixing the IME.Tester by rocking the ampoule side to side for
15-20 seconds and waiting (30 seconds - 3 minutes) to view the test
color development.
While the same features and benefits apply to all IME.Testers, there are certain tests that the advantages of the IME.Test are particularly significant. For example, the Chlorine test using the DPD chemistry, where chlorine values are rapidly changing and the reagents have a notoriously short shelf life, IME.Tester provides a distinct advantage over other reagent delivery systems because it is extremely fast reacting and yet lasts for years. Additionally, when using IME.Tester ampoules, test operators do not clean test apparatus or make stepped reagent dosages. The reagent ampoules are unusually fast reacting (unlike tablet reagents) but have a 4 year + shelf life. When compared to liquid reagent systems, ampoulated or not, the IME.Test powder reagent ampoules are significantly less affected by environmental conditions, such as heat, cold and UV light. Another advantage of IME.Test reagent ampoules is the retention of the sample water tested. So, if a test result is out of norm, the ampoule can easily be sent to a lab for higher level analysis (AA, ICP). Each box of IME.Tester ampoules comes complete with sample cup and color card. There are no replacement reagents or apparatus required. Simply order a new box of IME.Tester ampoules. All chemistries are based upon APHA or Standard Methods. Kits offer little or no OSHA or DOT hazard. On the following pages, please find the product specifications and listing of tests available. |

OPERATION OVERVIEW:
DISPOSAL: IME.Test ampoules are glass and are considered a recyclable material. Reagent contents should be disposed in accordance with local regulations. Because of the very small quantities of chemicals used in each IME.Test ampoule, they are normally considered exempt from hazardous materials regulations. |
